TEACHER RESOURCES

                      FOR OVIPAROUS UNIT

Welcome to the teacher resource page for the oviparous unit.  On his page you will find some resource suggestions that are available at a local teacher supply store, internet links, and other ideas to add an "eggcellent" touch in your planning, unit development and instruction. The information is updated as I find new treasures hidden in many different nests.  Enjoy the visit.

   PRINTABLE BOOKS EARLY READING

I have found some great sites online for teachers needing emergent books for their guided reading groups.  On the sites listed below, you can find books to incorporate with a theme.  The books are in a black-line format for you to print out for students to read.  Some of the sites are free while others do charge a nominal fee.

For an oral story telling activity where you cut a paper with a surprise at the end, visit Dr. Jean Feldman's web site.  http://www.drjean.org

Make a rhyming book about baby birds.  This activity may be found in the I CAN MAKE IT!  I CAN READ IT! book, Grade 1, from  the Mailbox.  There are several books in this series for kindergarten and first grade.  In this book there is another activity book to make called MY RIDDLE BOOK OF ANIMALS.  The egg-shaped book has many facts and pictures students can read about oviparous animals. To review the book, go to:
