Objective: Students will identify and understand the contributions and sacrifices the Founding Fathers made in establishing a New Nation.

Skills: Read and comprehend nonfiction, note taking, oral discussion, organize information and create a document representing their learning.

Directions

1. Use the information page in your folder and read about the Founding Father.

2. Then, review the Founding Father Note page. Look for the key ideas that you need to locate in the information page you read.

3. Reread the information page and highlight the key ideas that you need to list on your note taking worksheet.

4. Discuss with your group the key ideas that you are to list. Then, you will work together to complete the note taking page.

5. Use the Internet web sites listed to find a picture of this person, interesting facts, and major contributions.
