Has A
Peep In Her Pocket
By Barbara Park

Welcome
to another addition to the Junie B. Jones literature resource pages at
the Primary Teacher's Nook. My first graders adore each new
adventure of Junie B. Jones. Needless to say, as I read the books
with my students, my uncontrollable laughter is often
contagious. Children can identify and relate to the
characters and events in this story. If you are planning a trip to
a farm, this book would be a wonderful starting point for some
interesting discussions and schema building.
If you would like more information about student book discussions and
developing comprehension and literacy centers, Debbie Miller and Ardith
Davis Cole have excellent books on this topic. If you would
like to review this book, click on the cover page of the book. This will
directly link you to Amazon.com. For information about Junie B.
Jones Books, click on the link in the menu to the book resources
section.
Reading
with Meaning

Knee to Knee, Eye to Eye,
By Ardith Davis Cole
A great book to
use to start wonderful conversations in your classroom community.
Another great book is called Literacy Work Stations, Making Centers
Work by Debbie Diller.
I hope you enjoy the ideas and resources for this book. Let me
know how the resources worked for you.

With help from Dolly, my new pug.
ABOUT THE BOOK
It's almost the end of the year, and Room Nine is taking a
field trip to a farm! The whole class is very excited...
except Junie B. Jones. Because farms have scary ponies,
that's why. And scary roosters, too. Will Junie B.
find anything good at this place? Or will this turn out to
be the "worstest" field trip
ever?
