Montpelier, Virginia

   Montpelier is the home to three generations of James Madison's family.  During the year and each summer, it becomes the home of many history/social studies teachers attending the NEH seminar or the weekend Constitution seminars.  Being a participant in both seminars was mind candy as well as a dream experience.  If you would like information about the WE THE PEOPLE program, contact the Center for the Constitution staff.  The pictures on this page are a few which represent the wonderful ambiance and historical ambiance.  The collaboration with other "historical geeks" like myself is simply refreshing.  As Madison said:

                  "History, the inexhaustible fund of entertainment and instruction"
