Libby  Ladybug

                  Libby Ladybug arrived in Phoenix, Arizona on February

                                    21, 2002.  The kids in Room 30 were so excited.  They had to

                                     guess what mascot was in the box. 

                                      Libby helped us write our morning message.  She has her very

                                  own ladybug pointer to use to help us read our words.

                                        Dear Kids,

                                             How are you?  I sure miss my friends in Maryland.

                                       I arrived in Phoenix, Arizona and am enjoying the warm

                                       weather.  The days are sunny and perfect for this 

                                        ladybug.  It was fun meeting all of my new friends 

                                       in Room 30 this week, too.  Boy, they were so 

                                       excited to see me.  I am also learning a few words

                                       in Spanish.  This will really be fun.  I will write more 

                                       next week.

                                         Dear Kids,

                                               This has been a busy month.  I am sad to leave all

                                     of my new friends in Phoenix, Arizona.  It sure does get

                                     hot here early in the year!  Carrumba!  This is a picture

                                     of all of my new friends..I am in the picture hiding behind

                                       the class bear, Ba-Ba-Lu.  

                                               The kids were away for two weeks in March for 

                                         Spring break.  It was not lonely for me because I got

                                          to stay with Ba-Ba-Lu and Froggy.  Froggy helps

                                        the Morning Meeting leaders.  While I was in Phoenix

                                          I made a journal about Arizona.  I sent this to you on

                                        Friday.  On Thursdays, Miss Froehlich teaches teachers

                                       in this classroom.  Boy, it is fun to watch them sing songs

                                         and dance.  Miss Froehlich showed me off to her friends

                                        and talked about this Kinderproject with mascots.  All of

                                         the teachers gave me hugs and let me walk on their arms.

                                                Well, my friends, it is time for me to leave but

                                           I will be returning to you muy pronto.
